Decorating is hard.
Like, really hard. Fun, but honestly, something I know nothing about.
Luckily, most of Chip’s stuff goes pretty well with mine (aside from a few boy items, like posters of rappers…and why don’t boys use duvet covers???), but it’s been a bit challenging to pick out new stuff that we both really like. Our apartment is small, so every single decor item is noticeable.
For some reason, we are having the most difficulty with lamps. I think we are both liking the idea of a colored glass lamp base with a simple, neutral shade, like this one. That said, I am not looking to spend $195 on one lamp, especially when we need two.
Does anyone have any great home decor websites, stores, etc. that you think we should look into?
Suggestions would be much appreciated!

Ikea has a lamp with a pretty glass base like this (a bit bigger), but it’s only like $40. doesn’t look like typical ikea either.

try ballard, west elm, etsy and ebay! i have the same dilemma…wanting to have a grown-up apt, collecting things you’ll want to keep/repurpose without paying an arm and a leg for silly things like lamps. good luck!
